Hello everyone! It’s finally spring, time for warmer weather!

We’ll be giving away another SkratchKabin on our Facebook page this month! You’ll want to start finding photos of your cat on an outdoor adventure, and keep an eye on our page for the contest post! Last month our lucky winner was Jo Anne Mroczka; she posted a wonderful photo of her kitten in our kitten contest.

We’d like express once more how very proud we are about the growth of our social media community- both on Twitter and Facebook! We encourage fans to continue posting their questions, comments, and photos on our Facebook page, and to recommend us to other cat lovers on Twitter. It’s your community, so have fun!

What’s happenin’ cat fans?

I have to say April is one of my favorite months. My mother’s birthday is this month, and she always throws a party with lots of company, which means plenty of attention for moi.

Then there’s April Fools’ Day, possibly the greatest day ever. This year, as I do every year, I pulled a prank on the neighbor’s cat Glen, much to his dismay.

Glen is a cranky cat that doesn’t care much for other felines. He rarely leaves the house, but when he does, it’s at exactly 5:04 pm. I know this because the sprinklers run from 4:45 pm to 5:00 pm. What Glen didn’t know was that a mischievous cat like me could change the manual settings on the sprinkler system.

Glen and I haven’t spoken in a while…

Did you hear about Smokey the cat? This feline has a purr like a lion! I recently watched a video about him, and I have to say, I’d hate to be his roommate. He purrs at 92 decibels! That’s the same as a washing machine when running, an idling car engine, and a jet that passes just overhead when landing.

Needless to say, the cat has some pipes. I mean, how does he get a date? There’s a big difference between a sweet serenade and an idling car engine.

Smokey is also going for a Guiness World Record soon, and there’s been a lot of hoopla from other cat owners who believe their cat is louder.

I have one thing to say to that… I’ll believe it when I hear it.
