Katkabin supports The Breast Cancer Research Foundation

In October Katkabin pledged to donate 10% of all proceeds from sales of the Hot Pink KatKabin to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation www.bcrfcure.org in their efforts to raise awareness and funds to fight breast cancer. Well, October is over and we were able to donate $100! Thanks to everyone who supported the cause!

Our first Facebook giveaway winner has just been announced!
All you had to do to win a KatKabin outdoor cat house was to post a photo of your cat dressed up for Halloween to our Facebook fan page. The owner of the photo with the most comments and likes by November 12th was selected as our winner.

And the winner is.... Marcia Van Osten and Donny as the White Rabbit from Alice in Wonderland! What an amazing picture!

We'll be hosting another Facebook giveaway later on this month. Up for grabs will be a SkratchKabin!

The Kitty Letter with
Timmy the Tabby

Cat fans welcome to my editorial section. I'm Timmy the Tabby and I'm here to share my opinions on all things cat.

This month I'll be discussing how the cold weather affects cats like me.

Let me say first that I, personally, loathe the cold but love to be free outside. Give me a warm couch or a KatKabin and I'm one happy camper. Put me outside and I'll be until until the temperatures drop. It's not only uncomfortable in near freezing conditions; it can be hazardous to my health. That's why I feel bad for cats without homes come winter.

I recently visited indyferal.org that discussed how cold, wet weather can lead to hypothermia in cats that aren't able to find shelter. It had some really grat ideas on how to help cats that aren't as fortunate as me and it's certainly worth looking at. Winter can be brutal for all of us cats, especially those who don't have homes. So here's to making conditions better for felines.
