 Comparing
wet and dry bulb thermometers is the most accurate,
low cost method for measuring Relative Humidity. Simple,
direct reading hygrometers are available but vary widely
in accuracy and are not recommended. The Brinsea wet
bulb thermometer is specifically designed for use with
the Octagon 20DX and 40DX and comes with a conversion
chart showing Relative Humidity. It is not compatible
with the new Octagon 20 ADVANCE. For automatic humidity

very accurate, easily read instrument specifically designed
for incubators with a range of 32° - 40°C (90º to 104ºF).
Ten times more accurate than most digital thermometers,
it reads to 0.1ºF with an accuracy of ± 0.2ºF. Switchable
between ºF and ºC. Battery life is about 6 weeks in
continuous use, but very much longer if switched on
just as required.
